To coin a phrase..."If not now, when?" I'm semi-retired (soon to be fully) and look forward to even more living. I'm interested in almost everything, but have a few special loves (in no particular order): learning new things, conversations with interesting people, travel, cooking and baking, food, reading (and therefore libraries), documentaries, biographies, WW II, the Holocaust, business, the law, psychology and sociology, criminology, theatre, music (all over the place with this but Gershwin...ahh!), bonsai trees, hiking, waterfalls, Asian art, canoeing down a lazy river, NYC...could go on and on but I won't! Characteristics I strive for in myself, and value in someone else: Being a mensch! Honesty, integrity, loyalty, caring, high emotional and social intelligence, directness, good sense of humor, self-responsibility, adventurous spirit, thirst for knowledge and experiences in the world, ability to laugh often (and cry sometimes), balance, self-reflection, ability to agree to disagree, ability to share affection, and deep desire to really live this chapter of our lives! Hope this gives you a good start to understanding a bit about me!
