Originally from New York City, by way of New Jersey and Boston, I moved to New Orleans because I fell in love with the city through reading Anne Rice novels. She wrote so beautifully about it, I felt I had to see it and wound up staying (I think they call my type, "damn Yankees" because we are Yankees that stayed). I currently work for a non-profit but have been an Art Director/Graphic Designer for my entire career. I live in the Marigny with my 15-year-old son (going on 21) who spends 1/2 of his time with me. I've been divorced (for the second time) for 3 years now and have finally decided it's time to see who’s out there. I’m very political and am a Progressive Democrat. If you have any good feelings about our last president, I have no interest in knowing you. I love travel, dining out, movies, books, and the beach. I’m not overly religious but have a strong sense of spirituality. And although I’m a shiksa, I grew up in a largely Jewish community and am well acquainted with the wonderful sense of family, tradition, and history there. My sister is married to a “nice Jewish boy” and it feels natural to consider it for myself. I’m honestly not sure if I’m interested in marriage. My first one was brief and happened when I was young. My second one lasted almost 20 years but should have ended much sooner. So, who knows what the future will bring but I’m open to the possibilities.
