I would describe myself as feeling vulnerable but optimistic on this website. I know in my bones that life is good and that I want a companion with whom to share this goodness. I delight in the following: cooking a meal together, sharing a meal and wine with friends, planting a tree or fixing a wall, choosing a paint color or rug, reading--lots of reading: the Sunday Times, a good mystery or nonfiction, you name it-- dancing or listening to rhythm and blues or a classical concert. I also take great pleasure in quietude and especially like to be outside: hiking, walking, in the mountains, marveling at a tree, or being in the water. I am a strong swimmer.
