Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

I am a positive person, active, a bit of a workaholic (but much better than I used to be, so there's hope), loving, compassionate, fun, open and solid. I was born and raised in Brazil and lived in Germany when I was a child, so I speak several languages and have a multicultural background I'm very proud of and comfortable with. I have a wonderful 19 year old daughter who is an extraordinary young woman and the biggest blessing in my life. I have two equally wonderful step-children; a 22 year old stepdaughter and a 25 year old stepson. Because of my own experience with parenthood and marriage, I believe my perfect match will have to be a father (or dedicated stepfather) and been married in the past (emphasis given to "the past"). I am sympathetic to life’s complexities and difficulties, but have little patience for fabricated drama. With that said, it would be utterly disassociated from the whole of reality to expect zero dramatic content in the baggage we each carry; it’s how one handles it that makes all the difference.

I am happy about myself (well, when I'm not focused on the many areas open for improvement, perpetually..), I'm happy with my life, have wonderful friends and really don't 'need' a man. I do 'want' a man in my life (very much so, if I'm honest with myself), but only if his presence makes my life happier and fuller, and only if I can make a positive difference in his life as well. It can be as simple as the pleasure of a kiss, a dance or a shared theater experience, the enjoyment of an exciting trip; it can also be, on a deeper level, a reassuring gesture having to do with knowing support or loving understanding, but that takes time...
