Me describiría a mi mismo como
People closest to me describe me as a magnet to people and children of all ages. I always have a smile on my face and look for the good in any situation. I am extremely outgoing and will talk to just about anyone. Hearing about peoples lives and stories of their past really interests me. I love to have fun and am very laid back. Getting dressed up, although I do it when I have to, I prefer jeans or casual to anything else. I don't need to be wined and dined, a casual restaurant on the beach is more then alright with me! I love the theatre, although I know that in the Jacksonville area I cannot expect much. I love sports....but can't play them. I love to sing....but have the worst voice. But.....I do them anyway (or at least try).
The most important people in my life are my family. I have twin sons who I have been a single mom to since they were 2 1/2....they are now 25. As a mom I could not be any prouder of them, and what they have accomplished with their lives. Moving to Jacksonville was hard, because they are both on their own now and are living in different states then me. This is the first time we are not all living in the same geographic location. My sister, brother and their families all live in the Northeast and I do not get to see them as much as I'd like! Hopefully now that I am living back on the east coast I will get to visit them more often.
I grew up in New Jersey, moved to South Florida after I finished college, and lived there for the next 20 plus years. When my sons were in 5th grade I made the mistake of taking them to Los Angeles on vacation. I introduced them to some of my former students whose father's took them on their motorcycles....that was it. They wanted to move to Los Angeles.....and at the same time I had received a job offer with a very famous Rabbi......1 month later we left South Florida on the next leg of our journey. We spent 10 years in Los Angeles (I did not like living there but I waited until the boys graduated from college) and alone relocated back to Florida 4 years ago. Never living in North Florida this is a new experience for me. Within 2 weeks of receiving a job offer I was living here. yes.......I am a spur of the moment kind of person. I live and enjoy each moment.
I am not only looking for romance, but more important is a best friend!! I am looking for a partner who is kind, considerate and I can have fun with. I want to argue with you about politics, or even sometimes agree....talk about the world and what is going on....and be able to have an adult conversation. I am a very giving person and because of that have been taken advantage of too many times. Mutual respect is very important!! I want someone with a great sense of humor who cannot only laugh at me (and I give you many reasons to laugh at me), but can also laugh at themselves.
I am extremely outgoing and love talking to people.....everywhere. So if that embarasses you..we are not a good match.
I get very involved in my community and have begun feeding the homeless, tutoring inner city kids, am involved in the interfaith community......and.....
I do not expect anyone to be perfect. There is no such thing as perfection (although some of my former partners thought they were perfect)....and make sure that everyone who is involved in my life knows that.
So.......if you like to have fun, like romance, like to laugh, love people of all ages, love the unknown and are willing to change plans at the spir of the moment, want to be a partner and best friend, are kind and considerate, and want to help take care of our community then I would love to hear from you!!
