I Would Describe Myself As
THE MIRACLE ISN'T THAT I FINISHED -- THE MIRACLE IS THAT I HAD THE COURAGE TO START. -- John Bingham
The above quote says everything about my life. Especially in the last 2 years.
I have very literally saved my own life and made tremendous changes that define who I am today.
I'm looking for more than a friend or companion. Looking for a guy who is sensitive and romantic, yet strong. Someone who shares my strong interests in health and physical fitness and has a high intellect.
Would love to find someone who loves to dream of the "impossible" and make it happen. Do you love scifi? I do. Star Trek, since its debut in the Fall of 1966, gave me permission to see "outside of the box" and begin to dream.
Star Wars? You bet.
First, the original Twilight Zone (with Rod Serling) and then Star Trek (I was about 12) led me on to discover the science fiction greats and to become a voracious reader, not only of science fiction but of just about anything I could get my hands on.
I love the sciences and math and most recently have been enjoying books on quantum physics and the realms of the so-called scientifically impossible.
Spirituality is extremely important to me. I have been studying Judaism on my own for about 3 years now and am beginning to look to the next step by beginning to attend a synagogue. I am looking for freedom to follow my own heart and soul in ways of faith and spirituality.
I need to be partnered with a man who loves to communicate. I love the exchange of ideas and debate without angst.
I don't want to find another man whose attitude is: "I am always right and never wrong." Especially when it comes to political viewpoints. I have mine and you have yours. Why can't we just leave it there?
I love the outdoors and enjoy long walks and hiking. Would love to find a guy who loves running as much as I do. I have a bike (and once I get it fixed) would love to be going out on long bike rides.
I am interested in learning new things. I think I would enjoy watching sports on television if I understood more of the games (like football for example).
I have not gone camping since I was a kid but my memories of camping out were always so filled with fun. I would love to begin doing that again.

Since discovering that my biological father's side is Jewish, I'm even more interested in embracing the faith fully and completely. I've been studying Judasim on my own for the past 3 years and am slowly becoming more and more observant. I'm interested in attending temple services, but am still at something of a loss as to how or where to begin. Here in Reno, NV there is Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform and I only know a little of each. The vast majority of my studying and reading has been of Orthodox authors.
