In 1980, I was great with school and sports, then at a party, I was giving my room mates younger brother a ride home. He threw a beer bottle at a car driving by the party, hit the car, which was filled with a gang of kids. They stopped to get the little guy and I foolishly stood up for him, they beat me up.
It gave me a head injury.
And ever since then, after being wheelchair bound I've needed a cane to walk with. Now I enjoy writing poetry, and playing pool, plus recovering now more rapid than ever. With too much spare time, sadly I presently don't work. And though we may be of different peer's, I know where I should have been in life, and there is not that much the matter with me.
