Seeking Caring and Loving Life Partner

I am a self-employed, licensed professional, currently raising my precocious ten year old daughter who lives with me 1/2 time. Although I'm not very religious, my connection to Judaism is important to me, and I send my daughter to a Jewish school. I've lived in Israel, and speak a fair amount of Hebrew, although not nearly as much as I would like. I enjoy many different activities, but they are all better with a special lady in my life.
My favorite places include the Monterey Bay Area, anywhere from the Santa Cruz Mountains to Big Sur. In fact, anyplace in the redwoods or near a beach is fine with me. I used to live in Capitola, just outside of Santa Cruz, and still miss it. Other activities I enjoy are dining out (especially in an outdoor location on a warm summer evening), dancing, and many different kinds of music. I prefer live theatre to the movies, and very much enjoy going to some of the small repertory theatres around the East Bay. I like going into San Francisco, but have to admit I haven?t done that much in recent years.
Politically I?m a moderate, although generally leaning somewhat left, especially on environmental and social issues. I am, however, a very strong supporter of Israel. I?m very involved in my profession, and enjoy my work. What I do feels important, and although I can see gradually slowing down, I honestly can?t imagine totally retiring any time in the foreseeable future. Fortunately, I?m in a profession where age is not a detriment, and being self employed leaves me the luxury of setting my own work pace, at least to some extent.
I?m looking for a loving, caring, mutual partnership relationship with someone who, like me, would like to find a life partner. I see good communication as being one of the keys to sustaining a relationship, and enjoy sharing warmth, tenderness and sensuality with my partner. Sharing some interests in common is important, but so is a willingness to explore one?s partner, and to learn to enjoy some of each other?s favorite activities.
My daughter is very important to me, and the times she is with me I?m very much into family type activities. I hope to find someone who can enjoy sharing those activities with us. Since I share custody, I am free every other weekend to do adult activities, and I have learned to appreciate that balance. I?m open to meeting a single mom still raising her children, someone who?s children are grown (and who has a good relationship with them), or someone who might not have children but would welcome a child in her life.
Now that you have had a chance to get to know a little about me, I want to be completely honest. I?m actually a very young 64, but wanted you to have a chance to get to know a little about me before judging just by age. I look, and act, much younger, and see my life space as being more like around late 40?s to early 50?s. If you think I?m someone you might like to get to know, I would love to hear from you.
