Me describiría a mi mismo como
I became a widow very suddenly November 2008 after 41 years of a wonderful marriage and life hasn’t been the same since. It’s now time to begin the next chapter of my life. Life should be shared with someone that has the same interests and a certain amount of differences to make a relationship interesting. I love watching a good movie snuggled up in bed, or on the sofa. It’s also fun to spend time together talking about whatever comes to mind, or if necessary, try to help solve any problems that might need another opinion. I’m always available to friends and family whenever they need me for support, as a sounding board, advice or just a shoulder to lean on. I’m compassionate, loyal, willing to just listen, if that is what is needed and can never resist a good joke or story.
I enjoy international travel but there are times when I just want to relax and vacation on my favorite beach in Bluefields Bay, Jamaica. Broadway shows, Symphony, Ballet, Opera, Concerts, Museums, reading, fine or casual dining and of course just staying home enjoying each others company is always a favorite option. I love movies, especially foreign movies including Bollywood, romantic comedies, adventure, scifi, and most all genres except horror. I prefer to watch a movie to any kind of commercial TV (my downfall are soaps, but only two and Mad Men).
Some of my hobbies and favorite activities are photography, scuba diving, walks, exercising 3/4x a week, horseback riding (which I haven’t done in a while), and baking bread, cookies, etc. I have 3 very successful children (whom I’m very proud of) and 4 beautiful grandchildren (unfortunately none live in Tucson). I’m considered to be the research guru amongst my friends since I always enjoy finding out new and interesting information. I subscribe to numerous RSS feeds to keep up-to-date with all the latest information about subjects that I like.
I love dogs, cats, birds, and horses but don't own any at this time. I feel that it is unfair to an animal when you’re not home to take care of it properly, so I visit my friend's pets instead. I have a soft heart and cannot watch any movie that might show an animal that gets hurt.
Life is too short and I want to live the rest of my life to the fullest.
