I have confidence in my beliefs, proud of my accomplishments, but I do not rest with what I know or have done. I fill my weekdays creating. I write, read, make music, and teach law. Shabbat, I rest, allowing the joy of a meal with friends, family, the spirit of Shabbat to take over. Rock n’ roll, the Blues, country music (especially the Dead and their various offshoots) have a place in my life (but not on Shabbat). My successes, as well as my mistakes, have prepared me for this moment. I am ready for a relationship imbued with respect for one another, trust, love, intimacy.
